The Cashie Wetlands Walk is a nature boardwalk which winds it’s way through parts of the untouched wetlands lying on the eastern part of Windsor’s historic downtown. Visitors walking this trail can enjoy an observation deck which provides a viewing area for several different species of migratory songbirds during spring and summer months, as well as other swampland animals native to eastern North Carolina. The boardwalk also extends out towards the edge of the Cashie River, where visitors have access to kayaking and fishing. The entrance to the trail sits within walking distance from the Livermon Park & Mini Zoo, and is also not far from the Davis Ball Park, with parking available for the trail right on York St.
